I have defined my whole life to be different from my parents, and I have finally succeeded in that. My life is different in every way. My parents taught me how not to live.

My Parents are very happy, I can learn from that, i should find someone who I can make happy and who can make me happy. I have learned to not wait for love.

I love how happy they make each other, how committed they are to education and hard work, and how they raised my brother and me. I hate that my mom worries about things that don't warrant the stress.

I love how smart and life savy they are BUT hate how conservative they can be.

What I love about the way my parents live is how they devote themselves to my sisters and I but at the same time have such a good relationship between the two of them that they really enjoy each others company alone and go out to dinner and movies. What I hate about how my parents live their lives is that they worry too much about their children.

I love how much my parents love one another. I hope to find someone that is my soulmate as much as my parents are one another's soulmates. However, I do think they take on too many projects at once - they are both very busy, type A personalities, and they can get caught up easily.

I love the fact that my parents are still just as in love with eachother just as much as they were when they met/got together. But I hate that they care more about their love for eachother than their love for me. Don't get me wronge, we have a truly strong and loving family, but I occasionally feel left out between them. I guess that the next time we are all together and I feel this way I can 10 10 10 the situation. Like, should I confront them about it and the way it makes me feel, or just be happy that they are happy? Idk... any ideas, 10 10 10ers out there?

They have a great work ethic, which they passed on to all of us kids, but they have trouble relaxing and enjoying life, something they may have also passed along to some degree.

In the house I was raised in, positive reinforcement and love were largely absent, but "expectation" was high. I'm very happy that my behavior towards my wife and kids is far more supportive and loving, with laughter a constant.
