young and undecided

I am young and still don't know what I want to do, but I do know that I have to do something that involves writing. Of course, in this economy, it is very hard to find a job, so I don't want to be picky about the offers I am getting, but I do want to have a job that is right for me. If I get a job offer that I'm not sure is on the writing path, but it is a good offer, should I take it any way?

Find a job that will let you do what you love, at least in some capacity. There are a lot of different kinds of writing and many jobs have strong writing elements. It doesn't have to be the perfect job or one that gives you exactly what you want. I'm a writer myself, but I took an adminsitrative position out of college. BIG MISTAKE! I was miserable for about 8 years, until I worked my way up into an Assistant Copywriter position. I make a decent living now doing pr and web copywriting for a non-profit, but I hope to some day become a pulished author. I can't imagine doing a job 40+ hours each week that didn't involve writing.
